Bid packets are available at the Office of the Port of West St. Mary located at 301 Northwest Bvd. Franklin, La.

In the June board meeting of the West St Mary Port, the board of directors declared the office building located at the above address as surplus property and requested an appraisal be conducted on the property and building. This was done by Central Appraisal. The report indicated the value was $204,000. The office building is approximately 2650 square feet, with a 1311 square foot covered parking area in the back. The building has concrete walls and a metal roof. The interior has (4) office rooms, a conference room, two restrooms, a kitchen, a reception area, and a file/copy room.

Inspectors will be permitted any time prior to bid opening at cost of the bidder. Sealed bids will be accepted until 10:00 am of Wednesday July 31, 2024. At which time they will be opened. The highest bidder will be given 15 days to complete the sale.
